Yup, but I have a hard time finding a fotomat to process my 110 film Although I help set up on the whole show, my main task was the finale on this show. Sucked too, I didn't get to see it live, I had to go shoot another show the night of the 4th.

WOW! THAT was a fireworks show! We usually have an o.k. show on the 4th here in Knoxville. The real show is on "Boomsday" which is for Labor Day. I've heard it's the largest in the nation, but everywhere always claims to have the biggest or the best. I usually cry while watching fireworks set to music. They always play Lee Greenwood's God Bless the U.S.A. and I can't keep it together.

we will be doing a labor day show at Tahoe too...It is almost as big as the 4th show. You can find YouTube videos of our show. It used to be billed as the larges west of the Miss. river...but they scaled back about $40,000 from the old budget so they don't use that selling line anymore.

How long does it take to set that up? Is it comp comtrolled?
Guess the days of a dude running with a bic lighter are over on that scale.....
Do all the neighborhood kids follow you around like their long lost leader? I sure would have, I loved blowing stuff up!

Jim That show took a short day to drive to shoot site, one LONG day to set equipment (used to do it in two days), two days of loading shells, shoot day...not a lot happening except cables...,clean-up is a day long. Yes it is all shot from a computer. Actually on hand fire shows I still take bic lighters as back up! Two years ago we shot a hand fire New Year show in the snow at a ski resort...none of our flares would stay lit! We had lighters to finish the show....because three years ago our flares wouldn't stay lit...and only one person had a lighter in his pocket...thank goodness for a crew member who smokes cigarettes! No young'ins in our neighborhood. But my kids do have their own personal stash...which is illegal in our state except on the Indian Res. land.
