So while working in the ME I got this "wart" on the bottom of my foot, 3 docs (USA and Other) all say it is a wart, use acid, scrap it whatever, thing stays, got infected once, will not go.....SO I tell my personal doc to get it cut outta me I am tired of it, he picks a surgen and its out, sent to lab, BANG you got cancer! That was this Feb.
Then they need to clear cut so the 2" hole became most of the ball of my foot. I was told I will lose 3 toes, maybe top half of my food, doc will do what he can, so I got to keep everything but I got a giant divit on my foot (Golf swing will suck now!), but I am whole....
They did my foot, took out 3 lymph nodes and skin graft from thigh to foot (Hope I don't get a hairy foot), all labs comeback as cnacer free. SO after some treatments and all the above as of right now, I am good to go, but first year is big time for cancer to come back, I am checked monthly....Foot still not healed for me to walk normal or use regularlt but I hobble good!
Now for the lessons......If you can, buy more life ins. get cheap term ins. also look into major illness ins. once you get something all your optins for insurance are about gone.
Just for reference there is some shots to boost immune system (I aint getting them) that are 1 shot a week for 18 mos. each shot 350 to 400 bucks, that is 25000 bucks folks!
Cancer is nasty and will wipe out your money fast, insurance pays some or most but there is always outta pocket and it is high!
My stats are 80% to live 5 years more, 50/50 to see 20 yrs, well I plan on betting them screwed odds!
