Had a 1988 Honda Shadow V1100c. I loved that bike! Put a Corbin saddle, Cobra pipes, Memphis Shade wind screen, Kuryakan pegs and grips, Progressive Suspension front and rear on her. Tank rusted out and I couldn't find one that I could afford, so I had to sell her

I started w/ a Norton 750cc (yellow tank) when I lived in San Diego & ended up w/ a Honda Interstate when I moved back to Maine in 1978. Lots of smaller bikes in-between!

Honda does still make the Shadow, but its nothing like it used to be. Damn Cec, you think you know someone. I would have never thought you rode a land yacht at one time. Those Interstates' were a hell of a bike! The couple I bought my first bike from(CX500 Custom)had a matching pair. We rode all the way from Rotterdam, NY to Bangor, Maine in three days once. They enjoyed the ride very much. I couldn't walk for two days when we got home

..god yes, big bike freak! Wanted an Aspencade but settled for an Interstate. My Norton 'daze' in San Diego were the best (1967-1978), that ride from SD to Yuma was unbelievable! The days before 'starter' buttons, mirrors & turn signals!
